With over 100+ vendors at Smorgasburg, you need a plan of attack or you’ll be standing in line for food that’s just meh while the good stuff gets sold out. Plan to spend at least a few hours at the event if your goal is to eat all the plant-based bites at the largest open-air food market in America.
Monks Meats - The BBQ Mushroom sandwich was outrageous: hand pulled Primordia Farms oyster mushrooms, vinegar, cayenne, BBQ sauce, friseé, organic pickled red onions, vegan mayo.
Ube Kitchen- 100% plant-based ube (oo-bay= purple sweet potato) ice cream and treats
Arrive early, lines will get long and the nosh you’re hoping to try may sell out
Wear sunscreen and a hat. The event is held outdoors and there is little shade
Grab and adult beverage in the beer garden area to find additional picnic table seating and no children
Bring cash, some vendors do not accept cards
