Add Nix to Your Vegan Restaurants NYC “Must Visit” List
Set an enthusiastic eater free in New York and the issue is not finding exceptional food, it’s choosing where to spend your precious calories and dollars. I let Michelin be my guide and followed one star to Nix NY for lunch.
Nix is a plant-based concept by chef John Fraser and James Truman that celebrates vegetables with intricate flavor pairing and rich textures. You’ll want a stamp in your plant-based passport from Nix. Their Michelin star is well deserved as one of the best vegan restaurants NYC has to offer.
What’s Good:
Cauliflower tempura with steamed buns & house pickles. The sauce nails the sweet spicy flavor fusion without being cloying sweet. Each crevice of the crisp cauliflower cradles more yum.
Ribbons of jicama with fresno chili & blood oranges. Delightfully refreshing. If you’re partial to any dish with blood oranges and chilis, eat this.
Drink Up:
Blood orange aperol spritz
